This is an interesting site that documents the transformation of a man's weight loss. It's pretty motivational and includes some amazing photos and movies. [via kottke]

Suppertime

B and I attended our first Axis Supper Club dinner on Monday night. It was at Park Kitchen, which is normally closed on Mondays. It was a great meal:
Dungeness crab, blood orange, and mint salad with red lettuces
Black bread soup
Pork loin braised with rosemary-infused milk, sweet potato dumplings, and kale
Red wine roasted apples with sweet polenta
Cheeses

Now I just have to go back for an actual Park Kitchen dinner. I heard the batter-fried green beans were not on a recent menu. Bummer!

Winter Wonderland

So, we're on day two of Winter Storm 2004. Yesterday the freezing rain hit and a layer of ice now covers the city as well as my car. I'm at home relaxing, knitting, watching TV. Maybe I'll be brave and venture out of the house later.

Clothing Labels Please

"If you have any clothing you are throwing out or giving away (or even if you're not) would you do me a favor and cut the labels out of them and send them to me? I am trying to make a dress that is contructed entirely of labels for a show at the Helen Pitt this coming spring." [a request from caterina]
