"We chose to launch with the Portland metro area for a couple of reasons.
Tri-Met, Portland's transit authority, is a technological leader in
public transportation. The team at Tri-Met is a group of tremendously
passionate people dedicated to serving their community. And Tri-Met has a
wealth of data readily available that they were eager to share with us
for this project. This combination of great people and great data made
Tri-Met the ideal partner." --Google

I went to check out the exhibition game of the National Lacrosse League's new Portland LumberJax last week at the Rose Garden. Over 10,000 fans filled the arena to watch the free scrimmage. It was great to see that many people come out to support the second pro team in town. I've watched college lacrosse on TV, but had never seen a game live. It was pretty fun and there was a lot of scoring action that kept things from getting too boring. Plus, there was that drunk high school kid in front of me who kept things entertaining.
The next home game is on Saturday, Jan. 21 versus the Colorado Mammoth at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden.
